Manuel Marin was born in 1942 in Cieza, Murcia Spain and died in 2007. In his youth he developed an interest in bullfighting and went on to fight with some of the most well known matadors including \"El Cordobes\", Aged 20 years , he travelled to London and began to work in an art gallery where he met the British artist Henry Moore, who employed him as an assistant.

In 1964 he moved to New York, where he opened \"The American Indian Art Gallery\". One of the best clients was the artist Andy Warhol, who became a close friend as did Willem De Kooning and Jean Michel Basquiat. In 1969 he discovered his metier in Alexander Calder inspired mobile sculptures.
