Superb pair of silvered bronze Hagenauer vases designed as two stylised male and female heads. (see next picture for male head).We partly removed the protective felt from the bottom of one to reveal: Made in Austria and Hagenauer firm marks. A drawing of a similar design can be seen, on a photo from the 1950’s, taken in Franz Hagenauer’s Atelier. Franz Hagenauer was the creative force behind the Hagenauer brand and it is he, who is responsible for most of their modernist sculptures. Height: 51cm.
