Jean Lambert-Rucki (1888-1967) is considered a very important artist of the late cubist and art deco movement. He was a sculptor and painter. Although clearly linked to the cubists, Lambert-Rucki also showed great interest in primitive and Byzantine art, and especially mosaics. He shared a studio with his close friend Modigliani in Montparnasse and exhibited with many artist of the area.
